The spell cast to use the Orb of Osuvox is from the movie Excalibur. In modern Irish Gaelic, it's "Anáil nathrach, ortha bháis is beatha, do chéal déanaimh," which means, "Serpent's breath, charm of death and life, thy omen of making." 1m 0s

Every Sixer that appears in the movie has a unique number, which is never reused, with the exception of #665312, who makes three distinctive appearances (and dying every time): 1) He gets a closeup in the IOI war room just before the first Copper Key race (in which all Sixers apparently die); 2) When IOI plays the "Shining" challenge, he is seen being killed by the naked hag; 3) In the final battle he is the first one to be killed by Chucky. • Videojuegos

Elbakyan described the project’s technical scope in July 2017 ( Elbakyan, 2017): “Sci-Hub technically is by itself a repository, or a library if you like, and not a search engine for some other repository. But of course, the most important part in Sci-Hub is not a repository, but the script that can download papers closed behind paywalls.”

[2] [3] In September 2019, the site's owners said that it served approximately 400,000 requests per day. [5] The number of articles claimed is frequently updated on the site's home page, being over 81 million in April 2020.

Another criticism is that APCs give rise to predatory publishers that take authors’ money but do not perform rigorous peer review. However, this is like saying society should never have switched from snail mail to email because spam is bad. In short, like spam, there are easy solutions to predatory journals. There is no easy workaround however to the vast majority of scholarship being paywalled…well at least that was the case until Sci-Hub. • Philip Zhao as Zhou / Sho, a Chinese Gunter and one of the "High Five". With that brief background, the plot concerns a race to control the Oasis after Halliday dies and leaves a most unusual will. He has hidden a “silver egg” in the Oasis that can only be located by first finding 3 special keys to unlock 3 special gates. The person that finds the egg will inherit Halliday’s entire fortune (240 B-B-B-Billion dollars) and, most importantly, become the owner of the Oasis itself. 137

Movie: News of the World That has all changed, according to Heather Morrison, an information studies professor at the University of Ottawa. In the past 30 years, international for-profit publishing companies have been buying journals run by smaller publishers. Now just five companies publish half of all scholarly journals.

[24] On 6 November 2017, the ACS was granted a default judgment, and a permanent injunction was granted against all parties in active concert or participation with Sci-Hub that has notice of the injunction, "including any Internet search engines, web hosting and Internet service providers, domain name registrars, and domain name registries", to cease facilitating access to the service. Production was set to begin in July 2016. [29] Screenwriter Zak Penn announced via Twitter on July 1, 2016 that the first week of filming had been completed. [37] In August and September 2016, filming took place in Birmingham, England; this included Livery Street in the Jewellery Quarter area of the city, which was extensively used, including the van chase that takes place towards the film's end. The chase was edited to make the street appear longer than it actually is. The backpackers hostel Hatters, also on Livery Street, was used for internal filming for a basement scene. The Ludgate Hill Car Park lot on Lionel Street, in which caravan homes were partially built was also used and a planned explosion there caused some local business and homes to call emergency services, as no prior notification were given by the production team. Other locations in the city included the former industrial area of Digbeth, in a rooftop scene that overlooks the Birmingham City Centre skyline. Some of the city's landmark buildings were erased and replaced with CGI buildings to create a dystopian Ohio in the year 2045. [38] [39] Principal photography wrapped on September 27, 2016. We'll say it: There are tons of true crime books and podcasts—but very few of them actually solve said crimes or offer much in the way of new information (of course, no shame in getting a rundown or entertaining commentary!). But this fact is what sets Say Nothing apart. You don't need to know much about the conflict in Northern Ireland to immediately be sucked into Keefe's reporting and writing, then completely enraptured when he starts to figure out who murdered Jean McConville. • About Us

Voice Actor Rob Paulsen, Vitamin D vs. the Virus, Inflammatory Disorder in Kids, Beef Shortage & More At this time the widest possible distribution of research papers, as well as of other scientific or educational sources, is artificially restricted by copyright laws. Such laws effectively slow down the development of science in human society. The Sci-Hub project, running from 5th September 2011, is challenging the status quo. At the moment, Sci-Hub provides access to hundreds of thousands research papers every day, effectively bypassing any paywalls and restrictions.

To catalog all scholarly articles, we relied on the Crossref database. Crossref is a DOI Registration Agency (an entity capable of assigning DOIs) for scholarly publishing ( Lammey, 2014). There are presently 10 Registration Agencies. We estimate that Crossref has registered 67% of all DOIs in existence. While several Registration Agencies assign DOIs to scholarly publications, Crossref is the preeminent registrar. In March 2015, of the 1,464,818 valid DOI links on the English version of Wikipedia, 99.9% were registered with Crossref ( Kikkawa et al., 2016). This percentage was slightly lower for other languages: 99.8% on Chinese Wikipedia and 98.0% on Japanese Wikipedia. Hence, the overwhelming majority of DOI-referenced scholarly articles are registered with Crossref. Since Crossref has the most comprehensive and featureful programmatic access, there was a strong incentive to focus solely on Crossref-registered DOIs. Given Crossref’s preeminence, the omission of other Registration Agencies is unlikely to substantially influence our findings. College Board’s 2017 Trends in College Pricing Report states that the average tuition at a private non-profit four year institution in the US went from $15,160 in 1998 to $34,740 in 2018 — an increase of 129%. Of course that does not include room and board fees which have also increased precipitously.

“A postmodern visionary and one of the leading voices in twenty-first-century fiction, David Mitchell combines flat-out adventure, a Nabokovian love of puzzles, a keen eye for character, and a taste for mind-bending, philosophical and scientific speculation in the tradition of Umberto Eco, Haruki Murakami, and Philip K. Dick. The result is brilliantly original fiction as profound as it is playful. In this groundbreaking novel, an influential favorite among a new generation of writers, Mitchell explores with daring artistry fundamental questions of reality and identity.” 22.
